As an amateur photographer, I paid for part of my graduate school tuition working as an assistant to the Head Photographer at Columbia University.

I developed (no pun intended) an appreciation for the works of photographer Harry Callahan. He said, “It is the subject that counts.” I believe Callahan’s philosophy transcends Photography. It is the principle I have followed throughout my 25+ years real estate career.

So Harry and I bring our shared philosophy to Waters Real Estate Brokerage, a locally owned independent company dedicated to providing unparalleled client service. I build lifelong relationships with my clients and strive to provide exemplary service, education and advice and consider it a privilege to continue to do that at Waters.

Once an educator, always an educator. I believe in education and provide it for my clients. And for me. Over the years, I have taken courses offered by continuing education organizations, such as Certified International Property Specialists, Graduate Real Estate Institute, Certified Residential Specialists. My early study of Feng Shui has contributed to my understanding of what makes a neighborhood and a home exude positive energy and feel like home is supposed to feel.

When not advising clients, you may find me on the Croquet Court in Fearrington Village, or playing pickleball, or hiking one of the many trails. Maybe you’d hear me struggling to get haunting tones from my Native American flute, or see me sitting writing haiku or editing my recently completed memoir. And soon I hope to get back to my beloved Puglia where my Magical Puglia Tour has been on hold during the pandemic.

I have secured dream homes, both large and small, for my buyers, quick sales for my sellers, and also created communities – neighborhoods throughout Chapel Hill, Durham, Carrboro, and Chatham and Orange Counties, successfully getting my clients through the twists and turns and challenges of the real estate maze.
